  1. Very cool. Sure would be nice if all business people were that nice these days!
  2. Same place I used for mine. I got the chassis, interior, and engine compartment kits. Kind of nice for one stop shopping.
  3. Congrats Davey!! Go get 'em!
  4. At least the first guys had the common sense to do their stunt riding at a track as opposed to the highway!
  5. Thank you for flying Air Davey, we have lift off!
  6. Good to hear Chris, stay safe! Sure wish I'd gone to the Eastern Meet, and could come out for the Western one. Lord knows I got the FF miles. Western meet is during our annual sojurn to Iowa for the State Fair (Pork Chop on a stick, actually anything on a stick or deep fried), family gathering, and a trip to Adventureland (Iowa's answer to Six Flags). Everybody have fun at the meet and be safe!!
  7. Hey look, Chris finally posted a picture of his neighbor! Will you be taking him to the meet with you?
  8. Maybe it's that crazy neighbor of yours Chris.
  9. Gordie from NiteRestorations did this Hurst Olds clone. The project can be found at www.niterestorations.com along with my Monte as well. Hope to get some more progress pictures of my Monte up as they come in.
  10. Gordie from NiteRestorations did this Cutlass convertible. The project can be found at www.niterestorations.com along with my Monte as well. Hope to get some more progress pictures of my Monte up as they come in.
  11. Gordie from NiteRestorations did both of these Cutlasses. The projects can be found at www.niterestorations.com along with my Monte as well. Hope to get some more progress pictures of my Monte up as they come in.
  12. Here's a link to the site. Eastwood Polishing Kit For Deep Scratches I would be curious as to how it works as well. I've got a couple of nasty scratches on my truck's driver side window.
  13. Doing a vodka shot at Restaurant Europa in Pepper Pike, OH (Cleveland). In a little walk in cooler from a shot glass made of ice. The vodka was "The Jewel of Russia". Bill the bartender said the empty bottle was worth about $35 as each is hand painted. Good fun. Sorry about the poor picture quality, it was from my cheap cell phone.
  14. Just in case anybody has nozzle problems... From a gas pump in Cleveland. PS Please don't top off!!!
  15. I ran the test, 1.26 M. When they first hooked me up I was slower than dial up. The guy came out and replaced some stuff out at the pole. He said I was good for up to 9 M, but they limited me to 1.5. I think we might have U-verse available now, maybe I'll look into that. Definitely not a fan of the cable company.
  16. Amen to the DSL comment. If you couldn't tell, I was saying "lightning fast" sarcasticly.
  17. This may come as a dumb question, but here we go. Which would be most likely to cause the slow reaction times when cruising the site, the server or my lightning fast AT&T DSL? It can happen when there are a lot of people on, few people on, and at any given time of the day.
  18. I had ordered (free from 1-800-222-1020) the package for mine back on 1/9/07 hoping to get actual information on my car. It ended up being more general information and specifications. The first booklet had (per the headings); sales brochure pictures (b/w copies), Monte Carlo color and trim, Monte Carlo power teams, Monte Carlo exterior features, Monte Carlo interior features, Monte Carlo specifications (dimensions, weight, etc), Model Identification, Serial Numbers and Identification, Exterior Equipment, Interior Equipment, Extra Cost Equipment, and Air Conditioning Equipment. Basically a lot of RPO numbers, technical specs, even a "how the car was painted" section. The second booklet has (per the table of contents); Extended Storage Guide, Overview of GM Restoration Parts Licensing Program, GM Restoration Parts Liscensees, Cowl Tag Guide Ordering, GM Restoration Parts Reference Guide Ordering, Past Model Parts Suppliers (Leo was not listed), Automotive Publications, Automobile Clubs and Museums (FGMCC was not listed), and sanctioning bodies. All in all, a lot of neat information. But, for the most part, nothing you couldn't find on our site. Hope this helps, Dennis
  19. So sorry to hear this terrible news. I was a semi-regular spectator of the witty slugfest that went on in the shout box. I most certainly would have enjoyed meeting him someday. My sincerest condolences to Robyn's family. May he rest in peace.
  20. Thanks everybody for the comments and encouragement! She'll still be Mulsanne blue, black cloth interior, even the 4 speaker 8-track. Trying for a mostly stock appearance with a few improvements like dual sport mirrors, slotted rotors, and a hidden stereo among other things. I am definitely getting excited to get her done. Hope to do a meet someday, maybe next year.
  21. Thanks for that picture. I was able to see it before it disappeared. Kind of a bland decal. Maybe I'll do a correct one for show and a nice crossed flags 402 on a spare cover for go.
  22. Very nice Dave! Clean enough to eat off of!
  23. Thanks gang! I did talk to Steve as well. Kind of disappointed I don't get the crossed flags. I haven't gotten any pictures from the car lately, but Dave said there were some new ones on the guy's website. Some of those suspension pics scared the bejeezus out of me. I had new tires and an alignment done not to long before I parked it. When you live in an apartment and have no where to work on it yourself, trust in shady garages can be a very bad thing. NiteRestorations Go to current projects and you'll find mine there. The Hurst Olds clone is my friend's car that convinced me to use this guy. Thanks again everybody and have a good one!
  24. Hi all, I'm looking for good sources on proper decal placement, decal types, and sources for that matter. One that has me scracthing my head is the air cleaner. Mine is a 71 402, so I assume a 402 Turbo-Jet with flags and a 300 hp tag. Or, would it be the 400 Turbo-Jet? I'll keep digging through the site as well. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Thanks, Dennis
