  1. I finished the seatbelts today. Thanks to Mike Strinich(mjs-13 for a great deal on the belts), Joe Vega(for another great deal on some buckles), and Jared( I still need two more buckles HELPPPP!!! ). I think they turned out great. I dyed them just to bring them back to a nice dark black since they had faded a lot. Here are some Pictures:
  2. Great News indeed Rob!!! I am so happy for you. Still take it easy though.
  3. Hey Rob!!! First of all it is GREAT to see your post. Now you just take it easy and get on up out of that place and go home. A weekly update from you is just fine. Your FGMCC family is here, maybe not by your side but in your heart and you're in our hearts as well. Prayers for your continued wellness are still coming your way.
  4. AAHHH!!! THANKS FOR THE PICTURES!!! VERY NICE INDEED DARREN!! NOW GET RESTED AND WELL. ENJOY YOUR NEW RIDE!!
  5. Great news indeed!!! Still pulling for you Rob.
  6. Hey Darren I won these on Ebay. Linky Going to change the bushings and get them sandblasted and tightened up. How hard is it to change the bushings? Anyone ever done them? Anybody know the part numbers for the bushings?
  7. Wow the guy actually said they were boxed. Oh well I'll keep looking. Thanks guys I know they didn't look like the regular boxed arms but they did look solid and not hollow and I also noticed no holes for swaybar. Almost sent him money.
  8. Are these lowers Boxed? I need someone to chime in here real quick. I don't see the holes for the swaybar, but they could be drilled. Right?
  9. Get well soon Rob!! Thanks for the update Dan!!
  10. Thanks Bob. I'm just trying to keep something Monte related going till I get back on my feet.
  11. Yeah Daryl they are really bad and full of rust. But once you loosen all that junk up the belts move pretty freely. I'm just hitting everything up with some sandpaper and PB blaster before reassembly. I need five of the big buckles with rustfree covers and I will be all set. I bought these belts without seeing them at all and they are pretty bad. The material is in great condition but the buckles are all messed up and need to be refurbished.
  12. Went to the local Pull A Part and got the small buckle covers for the front lap belts. Coming along real well!! The replacement came from a 78 Delta 88. Now if only I can find the large buckle covers. BEFORE AFTER
  13. Thanks for the info. I will compare the prices of the repros to getting them redone and go from there. OPGI wants $27.99 for each brushed aluminum top. I will see how much my plater wants to do them all.
  14. Thought I would try my hand at taking the belts apart. Figured it out!! I am going to see how much it will be to have the buckles redone in maybe chrome. These belts are from a 70 Monte. Here are some pictures:
  15. Can the deluxe seat belt buckles be disassembled? I just picked up a set from a bucket seat Monte and want to get the buckles reconditioned or chromed.
  16. So $75 plus shipping is not bad then HuH? They have new bushings too!!
  17. About what price range should I be looking at for a stock set? I've seen some with new bushings and I was looking at what I should offer. Anybody got some for sale?
  18. I think POR has a steering wheel repair kit Bob. Right Here
  19. Got the Tach faceplate back from RedLine and I think it looks great!! BEFORE AFTER
  20. You might be able to disassemble the window motor and clean the hardened old grease from the gears and relube them. That's what I'm going to do before I install mine. Just a thought.
