I was wondering what modifications it would take to put in a 454 with a 700r4. I built a 700r4 a long time ago to put in behind my 350 and I know that you have to cut your drive shaft. But what else do you have to mod or change to put it in? Can you use the stock cross member? Also I can get a stock 454 complete from carb to pan for cheap. It is from a 76 Chevy c10, I have been wanting to pull my motor for a long time because it is leaking pretty good and it’s the stock OEM matching motor so I want to set it aside so that I don’t damage it. What do you have to change/ mod to get the 454 in? Motor mounts? Thank you.

well what does it do?

There's a sensor on the right side of the Transmission, behind the kick down cable, but in front of the dip stick tube, its a sensor for something. This sensor is an electrical connection for something, it has 2 prongs on it. what is the sensor? and what does the sensor do? and can i take it out and put a plug in it because it is leaking.

do exhaust cut outs really up performance? they sound awesome but do they really help? one i was looking at was http://www.quicktimeperformance.com part #QTEC30CP

so i do not even have to replace motor mounts? just unbolt them from the 350 and put them on the 454?

i have a 71 monte with a 350 in it. i want to replace it with a 454. do i have to get different motor mounts? and if so do i have to drill holes and weld?

im looking to buy a 454 its a Mark IV 90-91 4 bolt main. but on the back of the block it says Hi Perf. what makes that different then a normal 454?

how much of a power gain is there if you port your heads?

so do they like machine the intake and exhaust ports? is that what it is?

random ?. what is a port job on heads? if someone can explain that to me. thank you =)

i was wonderin about the 10069286 Mark IV 454 stock specs. like the rod length, the stroke, the bore, and the piston cc if anyone knows.

My next ? is what are the stock heads on it? and what are the piston size like cc wise? if anyone knows that. because if i get it im going to put 110cc heads on it and i want the comprestion to be 10:1

im looking to put a 454 in my monte and i found one but i want to know if its a good block to use for 500hp. the # is 10069286. i think it is the Mark IV 4-bolt main. i want to know if this is a good engine. The guy that has it does not know what it is all he knows is its a stock crate motor but can not remember which.
