mine did the same thing this weekend.rolled over to 46000 and just hung up.the tenths was working fine but could tell it was the 6 that the gear just didn't want to completly roll over. i had about 15 miles to get home and by the time i did the 6 rolled over.no more click.

Hi When putting in new carpet do you put the seat on top of carpet or make a x cut and bolt to the floor pan? Also how far up the firewall do you run it? do you notch for the gas ped linkage?71 bench seat Thanks for any help.

hello everyone does someone have any photos of the vacuum line from the modulator to the carb? 71 402 turbo 400. i know it is a steel line at the trans and then goes to rubber .it's been a long time since the tear down.the only line i have left is around 2 feet long with a factory brace brazed on that may bolt to the trans somewhere.my books don't show this. getting closer thanks

Hello Monty people Can someone tell me if there are any spacers behind the power steering pump when installing? Also heater hose to the manifold and water pump.hoses one larger than the other smaller to the manifold? bb 402 two hose fittings at the top of the water pump.i know one is the bypass. Hello 71 402 out of car. Can tall valve covers clear the stock power break booster? If not what can I do? I need about 3/4 of an inch more height to clear the roller rockers. Thank you all.

hi everyone. can someone post some exploded views of a 1971 bb engine bay.it has been several years since the tear down.engine rebuilt now but having some trouble with all the a/c brackets and hoses as to where they all hook up to.my books are not clear on this. thanks 71 long time 402/ps/pb/ac/400trans

Can someone give me some help on cam selection? 71 402 would like 450 hp. 10:1 com. I have a set of 69 gm L88 alum.heads.motor will be bored +30 I am running 12bolt pos with 342 gears. Automatic tran. I know most are thinking go 454 but most people would.i have always been different. Thanks

thanks men i will take her to a local machine shop. was going to do a 454 build but the 402 was in the car when i bought it 30+ years ago.pulled her out of a barn, brought her home and put her up on jack stands.she is new from the tank to the engine.not doing a show car.just a good solid driver.hope to drive her this summer.as we all know all it takes is mon$$$$$ey. thanks again
