gprimm
I thought Monroe was supposed to be better than Gabriel shocks. Well, over the last 18 months I have purchased 6 Monroe Sensa-Track shocks and 2 of them had no "rebound". I'd push them in and they stayed there. That's a 33% failure rate; that isn't good. I will either avoid them or check them prior to walking out of the store.
Mike 57
What you are feeling is not rebound, it is lack of gas pressure. Nitrogen gas is used to keep the fluid from foaming. It is still not good.
gprimm
Gas pressure provides the rebound to me. Agree, just surprised at how bad they were new.
bobsmc
when i went to the monroe training class, they recommended cycling them a few times to get everything back where it belongs. they are shipped on their side and are designed to operate standing up. i use alot of them and have 0 failures/complaints. bob
