Dito707
Hey guys, my 70's fuel gauge is also stuck just past full, my question is would it have any thing to do with the circuit board? Because my circuit board is in super bad condition basically it doesn't work.
Rock
You would have to see if you have 12 VDC at the gauge terminal. The sending unit provides an adj ground for the circuit. You can ohm the brown wire going down to the gas tank in the trunk to ground and you should have around 10 to 100 Ohms depending on how much gas you have in the tank. Anything higher and your sending unit is bad of it reads 0 ohms it is shorted to ground.
