Guest
If your talking about the metal box on the passenger side I think it's a realay for the heater-A/C blower motor. There should also be a fuesable link (or inline fuse) near that relay. It's part of the "high speed" control for the blower motor also. Jon. Mr70Monte
sounds like it might be the relay for the TCS system, how many wires going to it?

Hoodicoff1
that would be a good idea but the whole front of the car is stripped down to the frame so when i put it back together then ill see what doesnt work ------------------ 69 custom camper/cst 10 70 monte carlo 73 chevelle 4 door deluxe"kermit": no carpet(rubber floor) no floor, no trunk still drives 74 cheyenne super 20 454 77 fully loaded silverado that my Grandpa gave me 1980 BMW 320i(at least it isnt Japanese) 1984 Buick skyyhwak that i won 1972 Honda ct 90 trailbike Castlegar B.C.The great white North (Canada Aye!) wallaby
Hmmm Mine has three relay-looking things attatched high on the firewall near the A/C box. I tried to find the proper name for them, but the schematic in the repair manual fails to show them. The manual does show a TCS relay and a delay relay. I think the large one is a delay relay. There was no description of the part in the text, but from what I could gather from the wiring, it looks like the delay relay keeps your accessories off until the car has started, or at least waits 6-20 seconds while you turn the key.
