Monte123 Posted September 9, 2015 Share Posted September 9, 2015 I have this engine in my Monte, I believe it is a 400 because I took it out of my truck and bolted it in with my 350 flex plate and when I started the engine it tried to jump out of the car so I went to the parts store and got a 400 flex plate, swapped it out and it ran smooth. Recently though, it has developed a lifter noise. Now just so you have a little background, the last time I changed the oil was 5 or so years ago. In that 5 years the car may have had 30 miles on it.
