Katman
Two questions for anyone that may know. My 71 power steering unit has a four bolt mount but the frame only has accomodations for three of them. Was wondering if that is the way it was done. Also my unit has in large raised letters "76" towards the front and near the frame, bottom side. 2nd question - anyone out there send their power steering box in to have a quick ratio setup installed? If so, was it worth the $300 to do it? Any negatives to switching to quick ratio (like normal street driving comfort)? I like the idea of the variable ratio (higher between 10 and 2, lower when turning sharply. Mark
cbolt
I can answer the first question. Mine has 3 bolts holding it in as well. I think they used that steering unit for several different models that year, sort of a universal fit. Jim
Guest
If your suspension is not upgraded the fast ratio steering may not be the best thing.
