Andreas
I received this email today: I Have A 1970 Monte Carlo. The whole wiring harness has to be replaced. Do you know where I can find one? Painless wiring has one for a 68 thru 72 gm muscle car. It fits Chevelles, GTO, Tempest and like vehicles. However no one knows if it will fit my Monte Carlo. Can You Help Me Please???? Any words of wisdom??
Guest
painless wiring is NOT PAINLESS!!!!!! i bought the 18 cicuit harness for my 70. the are not connectors for the engine compartment no light sockets or dash connectors!!!! they said "most people just crimp on the old connectors". my reply? "thats kinda like buying a new car and putting on old tires". call factory-fit or m&h wiring. i think you can find the latter at wiring.com.....if i had the extra money i would trash the paininthebuttless wiring and get another....want to know how i really feel! Guest
Mrcash - what a bite-in-the-[you said a naughty!]!! I'm glad you mentioned that. I was going to go with Painless, I thought the name said it all. Sounds like it sould be "Painful"! I guess they reuse gaskets on an engine rebuild too. To others: have you actually used these other wiring harness places? ------------------ Dave Kase "Desmo888" '70 SS454
Andreas
Wooohooo, another beer man! Growing up in Germany in a town with two breweries, I think I know how to handle beer. Hopefully, there is something within walking (or crawling) distance from the hotel. My wife does not like to drive the Monte... ------------------ 71 Monte 383 "The Full Monty" 86 Monte LS ZZ4 "The Gray Mouse" http://go.to/Monte Member NMCOA, FGMCC "It ain't a car if it's not a Monte"
