Andreas
Someone here just installed a Keisler Kit, whihc is the same thing. I converted my Monte to a TREMEC before the kits came out, so I can not comment... No welding was required in my case, but some custom bracket fab work... Guest Red Rocket
I just had the Keisler kit put in my car. It's not extremely difficult, but it's not for the faint of heart. I'm not much of a mechanic, so I had a friend do it for me. If you get the kit, make sure you get the hydraulic clutch. The whole kit from Keisler was around $4500, if I remember correctly. Worth every penny!!! Never had so much fun driving a car!! I have a 400 HP crate motor, and it had a 700R4. I was missing something, just couldn't put my finger on it. Now I know what it was. If you like, PM me for my phone number and we can talk about it.
