1972mc
Wow am I excited!! I am an independent contractor doing mostly small repair and construction jobs and work occasionally at an apartment complex where 2 of the maintenance guys are major motor heads. Ever since starting my resto mod, I've been consulting with them. They told me not to waste my time with the old 10 bolt I was going to put a posi in it, they also setup my new 12 bolt gear lash. Anyway- today I was showing more pictures and videos of my bodyless car with new 383 running with new pipes. Both guys are seriously into muscle cars, nitrous and speed. The one with the sweet orange 69 Nova decided to convert to a 4 speed. He said "I've got my almost new TCI T-350 with 2800 stall converter, serious shift kit and deep aluminum pan, and a new flywheel." I almost fell over when he said he would let it go for $350. Needless to say, he is bringing it to work on Friday and I will take possession of it then. He almost never drove the Nova and only had 5-7 passes at the strip on it. My old tranny had been in my 72 since about 1982 and even though I resealed it, painted, new pan and filter, I was afraid that about 2-6 months into getting her on the road, she would tank. To add insult to injury, when I put the modulator back in, I grabbed the wrong bolt (correct threads but had an ever so slight shoulder), and cracked the screw boss on the side of the case. Happy Thanksgiving to All
