MC-71 Posted September 22, 2021 Share Posted September 22, 2021 I need help on reconnecting my horse shoe oem shifter. Did this years ago. Don’t remember the hookup. Seems shifter cable won’t push forward to drop it in the U bracket and seems I’m missing the two cable clips. Need to look for them. I found instructions on installing but I thought if I just removed the whole shifter that it would go back in easy. Do I leave the tranny in neutral or park. Do I need to pin the neutral safety switch I thought if I had already done that when I did the original install Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DragCat Posted September 22, 2021 Share Posted September 22, 2021 Hey Carl, when I adjusted my shifter cable recently I started with manually putting the lever on the trans in the park position and then the shifter in park.
