Factory paint option?

Recommended Posts

George at Vintage Vehicle Services offered me this information along with my document package.

“There were 658 Chevrolet Monte Carlo's built in Oshawa for the 1972 model year with RPO D/99”

Not as rare as I suspected but definitely not common.

Just to add, it appears that D99 was used for the trim on two-tones as well in Canada. It is not broken down by two-tone vs all one colour. Not sure if the US built two-tone cars used the D99 code or not.

According to Vintage Vehicle Services only 284 with the D99 code in 1971 built in Canada for the US market. I don’t have 1970 numbers.
