JP_Dayton_Ohio
1. I am 76 and bought new the 1970 Monte Carlo new at Hunter-Weidner in Anderson Indiana Feb 28, 1970. VIN # 138570L142062. 2. I have the original sales sheet which shows the many options including rear bumper guards, 400 Engine, Turbo Hydromatic, White Vinyl top, Rally wheels and AM-FM stereo 3. "If" the car still exists, I thought the current owner might want the original sales sheet to go with the car 4. I attended the recent Monte Carlo car show in Beavercreek Ohio last weekend hoping to see it again. I really loved that car in many ways. I am 6 foot 2 and it had great room and was fantastic on the road. So glad to see a club focused on the "Original" Style Monte Carlo's
Dtret
That’s pretty cool. Interesting that a Cali car was sold new in Indiana. Probably had something to do with Flint being on strike.
Leghome
My 70 was built in Van Nuys. I ordered 9\20\69 and shortly there after Flint went on strike and 10 weeks after placing my order it arrived with a bent drip rail molding and a Chevelle steering wheel center. Took the dealership almost a year to get the correct center and order the drip rail molding. The Parts department at that dealers ship left a lot to be desired. It only took a week to get the correct parts after I went in and complained and I was told the previous parts guy never ordered them
