New, and full of questions.

Mike took the words right out of my mouth about the neutral saftey switch....Is your car a column or floor shifter? Check to make sure the "coller" on the column is in the right position. Give it a little twist in each direction and then try the key.

Check the switch for current if that doesn't work.

And Welcome!!!

It turned out to be a voltage regulator box connected to the radiator core support behind the headlight.

we have a new alternator in it and the two of them were messing each other up, unplugged it and we're fine laugh thanks for the advice... we checked the neutral safety switch first.

it is an original column shift with a B&M ratchet shifter in the floor.

Thanks again smile
