mamerica
I have a 1972 Monte Carlo. It is part of an estate. I need to do some work before I sell it. I went to put a new battery in it and I noticed the tray was half gone, eaten away by rust or acid or both. I ordered a new tray and when I went to replace it, I ssaw that the bolt holes (in the body of the car) were much larger than the ones in the tray. It looks like there might have been some bushings there at one time. Does anyone know what the assembly looks like under the tray? Can you describe it, provide a picture or tell me where I can find the rest of the parts? Thanks
Mo's70MCs
Welcome.. Martin, you will need a battery tray, support bracket, a battery hold down bracket and bolt. The fender mounting support hole usually gets blown-out (enlarged) and you may either need to repair the area & or replace the fender-well. I don't have a way to post a picture of the assy manual page, but perhaps someone will chime in with the info..
