Andy Gargagliano
I would like to install a new fuel line from the fuel tank to the fuel pump in my 72 Monte.I was wondering if there was some type flexable hose i could use for this.Seems it would be easier than installing a new steel hard line especially where it goes through the frame on both ends.If so what diameter hose would I use. Thanks for any help. zmanabba
Jegs or summit make a braided nylon hose that should work well. It is even NHRA legal. 3/8 is the stock size. I would use addel clamps to mount it. The stock clips might chafe. Whatever do not use rubber fuel line. years down the road you might get a fuel leak and fire is on of my gratest fears. Rubber is fine for short lenghts but not the whole car. ny .02 David
71monteme
if you don't like the rubber/nylon lines. you can use the aluminum line that summit and jegs sells. it is a lot easier then the steel line. thanh
