71monteme Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 you can disconnect them to see which one the fluid comes out, that's your feed line. it's messy. or leave them connected, run the car for a few minutes you can feel the lines, 1 should be warm/ hot. the other cooler. the hot is the feed, cooler is the return. hopes that helps. thanh Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MagicDragon42 Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 I had the same question a few years ago when I installed a trans cooler on my Monte and you are correct. The top line at the radiator is the one from the transmission and the bottom line is the return to the transmission. Cooler should be installed on the bottom line.
