youngmonte71 Posted May 7, 2012 Share Posted May 7, 2012 I was wondering what modifications it would take to put in a 454 with a 700r4. I built a 700r4 a long time ago to put in behind my 350 and I know that you have to cut your drive shaft. But what else do you have to mod or change to put it in? Can you use the stock cross member? Also I can get a stock 454 complete from carb to pan for cheap. It is from a 76 Chevy c10, I have been wanting to pull my motor for a long time because it is leaking pretty good and it’s the stock OEM matching motor so I want to set it aside so that I don’t damage it.
