GallagherJ
Hey everybody, I have a 70 Monte built in Flint. What is the correct style battery? Side or Top post? It has a top post in it now with aftermarket battery ends, yuk Thanks Jack
70mcarlo
My Dad's new Flint-built '70 Monte had side-post terminals.
monte70car
Being a Flint built car it's hard to say whats correct unless you have a build sheet. The side terminal battery is the heavy duty option. If the car is 100% original then i could see going for the original style battery.
70mcarlo
Has anyone ever found a build-sheet in a Flint-built car? The side-post on my Dad's car probably was the heavy-duty option (Minnesota = COLD, especially back then).
ssmonte70
I have a '70 Monte SS Flint built, no build sheet. I have not heard of anyone having a Flint build sheet, to my knowledge they just didn't exist. Troy
GallagherJ
Thanks for all the replies, I'll go with the heavy duty side post option as the car is pretty original Jack
