Mike 57 Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 I always used 36 degrees all in at whatever rpm the centrifugal timing peaked, with the vacuum advance disconnected as the base line. I tuned from there. For example my distributor has 18 degrees centrifugal advance and it is all in by 2600. So if I checked my timing at 3000 rpm and adjusted to 36 btdc my initial would be 18 btdc.
