Murphy
My mechanic Weston was telling me about Rhoads lifters the other day, how he was able to use more of a radical cam for performance without losing vacuum & idling characteristics. So I've done a bit of research and it makes perfect sense, just wondering if anyone has any experience??
Mike 57
They have been around for years. They bleed down at low speeds, reducing the duration of the cam about 10 degrees. Some guys like them, most say they are a little noisy.
footballubet
I had them in one of my engines. Yes they are a little noisy.
gprimm
I put them in a friends 454. They did click a lot, but you would initially think it was a mechanical cam. It did tame the cam down at idle.
Mom's Car
I had them back in the day and they did the job.
Murphy
Thanks guys, all good info! I can see that these would allow for a larger cam while still behaving well at low rpm's. I'm just investigating...............
