jamato
I'm close to finishing my front end rebuild with all new parts, steering, suspension and brakes. Now I'm putting new rotors and pads on and the pads require a bed in process and I will also need the front end aligned too. My question is, should I do the bed in process first, and then go to the alignment shop? Bed in requires 10-20 60 mph to 10 mph stops. what have you guys done in this situation? footballubet
I would do the alignment first for safety reasons. What kind of brake pads did you install that require that break in?
jamato
Also, what I was gonna do is use the old pads on the new rotors until the front end is aligned, but my old rotors have the groove in them which leaves the pad with a small protruding curve through the middle. Could I maybe grind down the protruded section and use the old pads until the car is aligned? Thanks
