What burning software do you use? If you open the DVD in explorer what do you see on it?

Sounds like you did not actualy download the .iso file... It is 2.5gb

Nope, it is a DVD, did you burn the ISO to the DVD as a file, or as a image...

You need to boot the computer from the disc, not open it inside of windows

It was a ISO that I just burned to a DVD with nero or something.

Should run good then. Take a backup of stuff you do not want to loose, start with 1 drive plugged in and give it a shot Ian

I loaded it up over the weekend on some old hardware and it was not too bad, but I did not leave it on long as I am playing around with Windows Home Server as well. Take a ghost image of you current setup, and play around with it...

  9. Depends on how bad it is crashed... If it just the OS you could boot with a Linux CD and copy them to a external hard drive. If it was in front of me I probably could get the files off it...
  10. Kevin the only thing I could find is a Firewire to USB adapter, and it does not look like it will work 100% with Vista right now. It is also $119 http://www.pixela-1.com/captycable/system.htm You also could look for a USB analog capture card and capture it using the cable you hook it to the TV with..

Wow I also created a account over at Hub Garage to see your pictures, and that is a sweet project you are working on. Are you really only 15? That is cool that you are building a older muscle car at that age.

    New air filter

Yeah that looks like a tight fit. I was trying to look under mine like that but the shroud is in the way
  13. Nice! I assume you did that on your back in the garage? Want to come down to FL and do mine?

Like I said Sam I do not see a new hood in the near future, so that is good to know. I was also thinking would putting new body mounts in, raise the whole body up a little?

    New air filter

It is 12.5 between the filters. The outer ends are what were hitting by the inner ribs. It is close now but it should be OK. I was looking at the cowl hoods at US Body Source and they look nice, but $$$$ + paint $$$ Not this year.I want to get the rear end upgraded, and my 700R4 in this year..

Or time for a cowl hood.. I'll let momma know you guys said it was needed!

    New air filter

I thought about that, but the existing hole would make it look like crap

    New air filter

Well I got it mounted... It sits a little high, and is rubbing on the hood liner I may see if I can have about 1/2" taken out of the base.. I am thinking of just taking the hood liner out. Am I right in thinking it traps heat anyway? Will I risk the paint getting too hot? How many people are not running the hood liner, or what else are you using? There are spots missing from a thrown belt and the old A/C leaked on to it...

    New air filter

It is raining and I have to back it out about half way to open the hood because of the bikes hanging from the ceiling... Oh yeah I will have it there on the 3rd, momma is driving it and I am driving the RV.

Always disconnect the drive that you don't want messed up when trying new things

    hard drive

You could do it with Ghost, when you power it up in the second computer, it will find the new hardware and reboot a couple times, but it should work ok...

    hard drive

Look for Symantec Ghost. We use the enterprise edition, but I think they sell a consumer version. It works great. It is $69 http://www.symantec.com/norton/ghost PS they will let you download a trial version. Not sure what the limitations are, but worth a shot. PSS one cool feature is that you can make a exact copy of your hard drive to a DVD, CD, or external USB Hard Drive to restore the computer back to the way it was. I have 2 computers for the kids that I setup the way I want them, I.E. all the software I want them to have on it, and then when they blow them up, it takes me about 20 min to have them a clean system
