That is a good use of the Google toolbar, what about putting Linux on the older laptop? What do you use it for? Ian
  2. Nice write up Allan! But I like the Google toolbar, it is about the only one all the rest of them are crap! Ian
  3. That is kinda what the Magnaflows I got on there now look. Too much interior noise though.. I need to get some FatMat or something... Ian
  4. I'll have to ask my boss, he says we get it on everything... Ian
  5. Hmm interesting Allan, we use the coverage all the time here in FL, but we are owned by GE and fall under their agreements so it might be special for us Ian
  6. Is it a Dell? We get the 3 year coverage for ours and it covers everything, including if you drop it off the back of a car... Ian

Sam is it slow to load every time, or just the first time? I know sometimes I bring up the main forum page and it take a little while, but moving around in the topics and pages it is ok... Ian

    Site issues

All, A couple people have told me that the site either locks up on them, or is real slow to load. When it happens I need to know what Browser you are using, such as IE6, IE7, Firefox 2 or 3, AOL, etc. Also if you have the right side options turned on, I.E. are you showing the Shout Box? I run Firefox3 and have not seen it lock up on my computers in a long time... I have asked a couple of the guys over at UBB site if they have seen it, and they say that it may just be an IE thing and that there is not much that can be done.. But if we can get some more data and specifics it might get fixed... Please post the results here in as much detail as you can... Thanks, Ian

Hmm that 320 should not be giving you issues unless the motherboard needs some special driver for that big of drive... But the 80 I could see going bad in 7 years... Ian

I had suggested the alternate CD because of the issues you were having with the video card, but Allan is right, it should not have stopped on the partitioning... It sounds like you may have a bad hard drive... How old is it... Ian

But we cost more We all use a computer to access the site, and some of us use one to tune their car Ian
  16. I second what Allan said... Last big project I worked on was R&R of a engine in a 88 Camaro (Fuel injected) I am so glad we took pictures as we went, because it was months before we got around to putting it back in and all the lines have to go back to the right places, and without the pictures it would have been a pain... MY COMPUTER DIED!!!!!

Quote: As said above you can pretty much just plug anything into them and they recognize it.....camera's, printers...etc. They are extremely stylish looking on your desk, and take up so much less room! You will be spoiled and never want to view pictures or videos on anything else again. They make everything look sooooo good. You know every time I stop at a store and play with one that it what I notice the most. The screens on the mac books are soooo clear and sharp. My dad got his because he is a photo nut and the editing software that he uses works best on the Mac. Ian

    MY COMPUTER DIED!!!!!

No problem, my dad says the nice thing about the mac is that you take it out of the box and it just works. They are more money than a PC but there are not many viruses that infect them, and they don't get affected by a lot of the crap on the internet that messes up a Windows PC.... That may change as the gain in popularity, but for now they are safe.. Ian

    floor shift

It takes a different bracket, but I think the same cable. You also will need the kick down switch that mounts to the brake pedal bracket as it is electronic. Ian
  20. One more thought, could it be running very lean? When we fired up mine with the new fuel injection the initial fuel curve was way lean and it had the headers glowing and the temps shot up... Ian

    Rear End

Nate when did that happen? That sucks! Ian
  22. oops Alan is right I had it backwards It is a higher temp thermostat you would want to try, not a colder one. Ian

    MY COMPUTER DIED!!!!!

If I could afford it, and if mine dies I would also go with a Mac. My dad made the switch last fall, and loves it. He got the 22" iMac, and a 13" Mac Book. Ian
