Hey Robert, when you purchased the new amp gauge did it come with the mounting plate? I see several vendors are showing the amp gauge without the mounting plate?????? Is the 'GEN' light mounting plate correct for mounting the amp gauge?

I had a similar problem last summer and had to replace the expansion valve to resolve the issue. It was a cheap fix from NAPA ...........

Looking good Vince...........I have that 5.3 Vortec in my Avalanche, several months ago I was getting KNOCK sensor errors so had to tear it down similar to the picture above. I replaced both knock sensors and harness and the cam sensor since it was easily accessible. The knock sensors are under the 2 round plugs in the valley pan in your photo. Good Luck!

Hey Roger, almost sounds like the cable has come slightly loose from the speedometer, in the replacement of carpet & dynamat is it possible that the cable got pulled a bit? Plan A; Reach up and see if the cable is tight. Plan B; Run for it, I hate ticking sounds.............

Robert & Robert, I believe that only the corner pieces are pot metal, and the other pieces are stainless........I have several pieces of the vinyl trim but not all of them.

It's like muscle memory, all of a sudden I started remembering words I hadn't used in 30 yrs. The key is to string them out so they make sense.....?????

The glue that came with the kit didn't last long, about 2 weeks, I bought some glue at NAPA for windshield mounted mirrors and its been fine for over a year now. I will stress that I cleaned that spot on the windshield several times to insure it was clean and then I didn't hang the mirror for probably 2 days.............

Yes, it fits over the spring perch, I painted them with POR15 (several coats) and didn't use any insulator. My thought was that several coats of POR15 would eliminate any squeeking.........so far so good.

When I changed my oil pan gasket my trans was already out (another project) but I only needed to lift the 350sb less than an inch. Also, put a socket on the front crank bolt so you can move the crank to get the counter-weights moved to the top and the pan will slide right out. Definitely use the Felpro one-piece gasket, clean your oil pan, might as well paint it also...............Here's a photo of mine after it was back in place.

The addition of the 1" spacer allows me to only need 20 lbs of air in the shocks to get the stance I was after.............

It's a 1" aluminum spacer by SPC. Go to Summit and search for coil spring spacers. SPC makes several different sizes...........As far as the cargo springs, they were put on the car by the previous owner about 15 yrs ago so I can't compare the difference to standard springs. My understanding is that they are a bit stiffer as to withstand extra weight.

Hey Larry...........you just gave me a reason to remove my pad as I've had a rattling speaker to look at. Here's some photos......

My pad is original and there are slots in which the clips slid into. A couple of these slots are a bit sloppy, I mean that the clips don't stay in place. Probably due to age of the pad. The first time I removed the pad only the outside clips were in place but I found the others laying on the duct work behind the dash. That's when I silicone them in place on the pad, I've removed the pad several times since with no issues and no lost clips.........

I used some clear silicone to attach my clips in place, just give it several hours to cure before installing the pad.

I had a piece of interior trim that I cut to fit as you can see in the pic.............

The mirror I bought was on Amazon, fairly impressed. It looks good, easy to install, and I mounted slightly higher to give me a better view. Go to Amazon & type in part #CIPA 36000.
