  2. just ran the numbers 26.5 tire 4.10 gear 65mph= 2534 rpm (my set up) 3.90 gear dropped it to 2411 3.70 was 2287
  3. Do you plan going manual with a switch lock up or keeping it with a computer? I too have a 4L80e in my Monte. I'm using an EZ TCI TCU controller. I went with 4.10 gears and a 285 40 17 set of tires. I don't have it in front of me right now but I seem to remember from a gear calculator that it will be running 2350 rpm at 65mph.
  4. Yeah 5 minutes trying to get that thing to stand up and soon as I walked away it fell over. Oh well the audio was the important thing.
  5. I just wanted to share the voice of my build. Thanks to alot of people here who unknowingly helped me out by posting a ton of info on their motors. Couldn't have done it without you. This was my first performance build I have ever done. I have built stock motors before but nothing like this. I'm very happy with the way she runs and sounds. I have a few more bugs to work out and some fine tuning. This run was after I had to adjust my dizzy depth as it was at first to deep and made a terrible gear whine. I'm still smiling every time I listen to the clip. Can’t wait to drive the car when she is all put together.
  6. Did some more digging around the internet today. I think I found the one I'm going to get. Check this out. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/se...mp;pgGrp=search
  7. If you do get them please post for all. I am currently going through the crossmember dilemma. I do not like the looks of the stock one. Also I boxed my frame and it no longer fits. I’ve looked at the one you linked to but think its way overpriced. I am currently weighing the idea of going with the one below and fabbing the mounts. Let us know what you come up with. Crossmember
  8. These lowers are not cheap but look great and are really strong. I think I paid 225 for mine. All billet aluminum.
  9. I would like to get one but can't justify the price right now. Too many other things to buy!
  10. Well to answer my own question and after an hour or two of reading, the angle is there to keep the needle bearings moving. I read from a couple of driveline places that 2 degrees is optimal. No less.
  11. Look at the white clothes line I have tied at the yokes, The shaft will not be parallel to the frame rails. Is this ok? Both yoke are at the 12:00 position. [/img]
  12. I was thinking about this and a more durable replacment for the vinyl top. Why not spray the dash insert with bed liner. It has about the same texture as vinyl. Whatcha think?
  13. That tranny is stronger than I thought. I never paid any attention to them because I had seen them behind a lot of 4.3L V6. All that is needed for the 200 is a TV cable? Its seams a less complicated install than my 4l80E was. I think I'm going to have to keep a lookout when I'm in the bone yards for one. Sounds like it would go great behind my LT1 I have.
  14. One of the best cleaners I have found during my rebuild is Easy Off oven cleaner. Get the stinky kind, it works better. I used that and painted my trans and water pump hammer tone silver. I am very happy with the results! [/img]
  15. Whats the differences between the 200r and 700r? How much power can the 200 take?
  16. My build is comming along slow but sure.
  17. Sorry I forgot to put that in, here it is. http://www.ebay.com/usr/josephc7952?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
  18. Just a FYI..... I looked forever for a custom, traditional looking decals and I finally found them. A guy on e-bay will make them for your specific build. Here's mine.
  19. I finally got some lights that I liked. These came out of 2002 sts Cady. I'll be installing these in the sail panels. The key is for size reference.
  20. Solids on the motor with a poly on the trans.
  21. I think we're going to need a little more information before someone can help you out with that. Can you give us your engine basics? Size? Cam?
  22. Never thought of putting lights there. I like it!
  23. Yes I am installing 2012 Challenger front and rear seats with the center console. My car is no where near done so it doesn't look that great with the new seats setting in there.
  24. I have 2 inch drop spindles and I'll be using tires that are a little over an inch smaller in diameter all up front. In the rear the wheel combo will have a reduced height of 1 3/4 inches. I'm looking at doing coil overs there. With the coil overs in the rear I have about 3 inches of adjustments to level up the rear with the front.
  25. This is the light in the back shell on the bucket seats.
