  1. Are you going to the fgmcc eastern meet? I am interested
  2. I also wonder if i buy a set of easily available 15x6 rally wheels just to replicate the exact look (when covered up by a full wheel cover) instead of trying claw and scratch around to find the harder to find black steel wheels... if they would be the right stance, like offset/backspacing as stock
  3. If i can find a set of 15x6 black steel wheels.... is 225-70-15 the correct size equivalent? And conversely if i decide on a 15x7 rally.... will those same 225 70 15s be correct? Or did they use different size tires depending on wheel width? If so, i am going to go ahead and order this set of tires before i even have wheels
  4. What size were the factory black steel wheels? 15x6 or 15x7? I am talking about for a standard monte not an SS.
  5. well to quote stevie nicks. "the laaaandslide brought it down"

  9. ok great, I found an old compression style ring on my old standard steering wheel. i'll just rob that. I'm surprised the kits don't come with both kind of rings.... thanks a million!
  10. I have a 70 but I have the tab style later model ring. Is there a workaround?
  11. how does the black retaining ring work? I don't understand how that part fits
  12. how does the black retaining ring work? I don't understand how that part fits
  13. how does the black retaining ring work? I don't understand how that part fits
  14. how do I make the horn work? The kit I bought came with three little Parts. A spring, a rod with a nail head, and a tiny black plastic ring. I can't determine how they go in and what order and which way they go in exactly. I can't make any sense of it
  15. i have never put a price on it, but if someone wanted to make an offer, I'm listening

  17. this is for my 1970 monte carlo. 350/350 auto.. NOT THE COKE MACHINE. I'm doing some research on pricing and looking around for a complete front end rebuild kit. Most deluxe kits, such as PST's kit includes: Lower Ball Joint Upper Ball Joint Upper Control Arm Bushing Lower Control Arm Bushing Sway Bar Bushings End Links w/ Bushings Idler Arm Outer Tie Rod Ends Inner Tie Rod Ends Tie Rod Sleeves Upper Control Arm Bumpers Lower Control Arm Bumpers Upper Control Arm Shafts Then I GUESS i'll have to plan on purchasing separately the following: Shocks Springs Steering Coupling Centerlink Pitman Arm (edit-meant to say idler arm) I had the idea of looking at ROCK AUTO and I filled my cart with all the stuff in the first list, Moog Brand or AC Delco. The price was higher than PST's full kit. So here are my questions: Where else should I look for a good rebuild kit? Who else sells good quality kits? Does anyone sell a more complete kit than I have typed in the first list above? I think I want to go with rubber because my car is all stock and I'm not concerned with autocrossing it or handling. I just want a smooth stock style ride. Rubber, would anyone try to talk me into poly?
  18. Need new seat covers for a 70 bench. black. where should I get them and what should I look for? looking for good price and quick shipping/ no back-orders etc..
  19. i went out and banged and pounded on it for about an hour and it wouldn't budge. i even tried putting another nut from my stash on and beating it down from the engine bay with the use of some socket extentions. no luck. that thing is stuck GOOD... well i just read wallaby's post so.... maybe i can try that, but i'm going to have to find a 4 lb hammer or similar object, because i dont have anything like that, that i can think of. plus, i can imagine that it would be nice to have a helper when doing that.
  20. i took the cotter pin out and used a 5/8" wrench to take the castle nut off of the center link there and it would not come off. I even tried a pickle fork and the pickle fork broke
