Well last weekend we moved to a house so I had to move the Monte..drove it out the old driveway and onto the trailer..anyways my question is this..when shifting out of park, i cannot feel the tranny go into reverse..reverse works fine..backes out the driveway with no problems but I cannot feel the click into the gear to the point where I can actually shift all the way to drive with no problem. The car drives fine in forward and reverse gears but I guess its a shifter problem cuz I jus cant feel the reverse location. Is there some sort of adjustment that can be made? Its a colum shift car. any help is apprechieated!!!!

yeah I really wish they would get rid of Alex Smith but what do I know...we sure do play each other this year..if there is a football season..it should be interesting!!!!

yeah overdrive..in the trunk the trunk arms are that brown color as well as the bottom of the pacakge tray and trunk lid..all golden brown..as well..but the interior is all black as well as the vinyl top..before I took it off!!

man I went to that site to decode my body tag and Im kinda mad at what I found out... according to the site my Montes original color was Golden Brown which I never liked(lol) but it orignially came with a Light Covert vinyl top color and the same color interior...it looks like the most used color combo in 72....but when I got my car..it was Golden Brown with a black vinyl top and all black vinyl interior.. I think the lighter color looked better with Golden Brown..wish I woulda got it that way....man!

yeah the welding could be much better!!!!! but u get what u pay for. I think those spare bolts are open holes I guess for some other cooler..mabye an oil cooler or something..they arent dead holes tho!..the screws that go in them have a thick rubber o ring on them...not sire what they could be for cuz their too big for the tranny lines on our cars......

ok so i got a chance to get the radiator in the car..havent filled her up yet but it fit jus like the original no mods necessary..I still have to get a catch can and figure out where to mount that...but here are some pics!

switch over to HEI..I got the MSD streetfire hei and it was easy to switch over..jus find a 12volt source on the fuse block and plug her in....works great!

well I heard the 3 row is a gimmic so I got the 2 row one which should work way better than the original..I guess....weather permiting ill get to it this weekend..thanks for the catch can info now I can order one

i got the radiator but havent had a chance to install it yet but its the same dimentions as the stock radiator and mounts the same way..no mods needed..i to am goin to go with the fan shroud and original type clutch fan..hopefully Ill get to it this weekend and ill post some pics... and as for the overflow tank..isnt it supposed to mount lower or higher than the radiator???? how does that work????

ok so I got the 2 row radiator but chose not to get the fans cuz I want to keep my stock fan shroud..I like that big thing! lol but now I need some kind of catch/recovery can since when I got the car it never had one..what size do you guys recomend..I found this one at summit... link it kinds matches the radiator...jus gotta figure out how to mount it..what do you guys think?

hahahaha im pretty good at math..I jus did the equation and it would be a 360..actually a 360.4 the equation is bore x bore x stroke x .7853982 x 8(# of cyl's) COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! its funny cuz a 350 is actually a 349.84 ..... lol

im gonna guess a 360????????? i didnt do the equation!

ahhh thats a cool question....i got a 355..which is a 350 .030 over..math can sometimes be cool...lol

So Im in the market to get a new radiator for the monte..getting ready for summer ay know...... so I was lookin at the aluminum ones from summit & Jegs which are both 299.....then I saw this on ebay..what do you guys think? link they also have one that comes with 2 electric fans but its a smaller radiator..2 row!..I dont know..I could sure use the other 100 bucks for other parts......
