  1. No both these cars where built in Oshawa
  2. I know of two here. A triple Black and a triple Blue, the triple Blue is a one owner. Both fully documented but neither have the Z20 option on the cowl tag. Interesting
  3. My boys don't want a cabin for this meet, I wonder why.

  11. Thanks for the replies, Car was fully restored about three years ago. Original carb was rebuilt. Here is one thing that might be an issue, the car did sit for a year. Started and ran to temp a few times but never out on the road till last weekend. When the problem started. Car idles great after stopping, but if I push the throttle it wants to stall and sometimes will, back off the throttle and it will not stall. Almost a fuel starvation problem. If it does stall, it will take 10 seconds or so to fire up again but then runs great. Going to check a few things you all have mentioned tonight. Top off carb, fuel filter etc. Will be taking the Monte for a cruise and car show tomorrow. See if I can narrow this down.
  12. It appears that the pump shot is strong or good enough. I cant find any vacuum leaks Any other ideas that I could try??? Thanks
  13. Thanks Bruce I will check that today
  14. Coming to a quick stop, idles fine, no stumbling until I try and press on the pedal, then it stumbles. This is only at full engine temperature, not when cold.
  15. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 1970 Monte, 350, 4 barrel Qjet carb Starts, idles, runs great. My problem is the car runs great, cruising down the highway at 60mph, 3000rpm, no problem, 70mph at 3500rpm, no problem......but if I pull over and let it idle for a minute or two and then go to accelerate the car bogs down and stalls. It will fire up again after a few turns of the starter and then run fine again. Is it a problem with the float setting??? Thank you in advance
  16. Arrived home on Wednesday night, whew, long drive!!!!! Although we trailered, 2700 mile round trip and nine days is a long haul. The funny thing is we would and will do it again for a future Western Meet. Kathie and I would like to thank Aaron and April for all their effort in organizing another great meet. Doug Scofield, what can we say but thank you sooooo much for all you did. It is appreciated more than we can say. Ray, Mark and Beth, it was great to see you again. Hopefully it wont be another 10 years. To all the rest of the FGMCC family, you are the best, thanks for all the laughs. It always amazes me that we get together once a year but conversations pick up like we just saw each other yesterday Here's to 2017 and Penticton
  17. Just arrived in Great Falls Montana. Staying the night. Drive safe everyone!!
  18. It will be great to see you again Mark and everyone else. We are also leaving tomorrow for the three day drive. Hope to see you all on Thursday, drive safe!!
  19. Wow leaving in 5 days. Maybe I should pull the Monte out of storage and have a look at it before we leave. I know what I'm doing this long weekend.
  20. Common Darren, I was only sniffling a little,
  21. Selling "that" SS was a decision that I thought would never have to be made. As we all know "life happens when we are making plans" and that decision was made. Sad day for sure around here. On the other hand I am very happy that it went to a great home, many thanks to April and Aaron. See you all in Grass Valley
