I had to download a newer version of my anti virus yesterday but I don't see how that would of stopped the sound.I haven't messed with anything else. I may have to call my local pc man on monday . Thanks Terry

Hi guys I have a Dell desktop about 10 yrs old. I can't get any sound from the dual spkrs . It was working a day or so ago. They do light up showing it has power to them .I tried to play one of the vidieos today but no sound. I traced all the connections and they are fine I also checked the icon at the bottom right to see if it was muted but it was on.Any ideas on what else to look for? Thanks Terry
  4. Well at least ,I'll not forget my user/password this way :-). I deleted the cookies ,I'll see if that helps Thanks,Terry Davy,May just be a senior thingy :-).
  5. Hi guys, I never log out but when i go to another site (briefly that is :-)), not all the time but most i have to log back in .I do have the remember me checked.Any Ideas why ? Its not a big deal just curious if it could be on my end. Thanks, Terry

  7. Thanks Robert, I have seen them at the rear .Its only for show but would like it close. My engine is the ZZ454/440 crate but they don't make any decals with that hp so this will do. Terry
  8. Good morning all Do any of you know the location of the engine code decal "CRR" on a 1970 454/450 valve cover or any tips on where to look. Its on the ps cover but I have seen them on the front end and different places on the top of the cover .I just would like to get it close . Terry

  12. It was a very good turnout.I think Rob counted 18 members cars and 3-4 non.The Montes were well represented with fine cars and great people.I met a lot of members but not all. Thanks to Rob he kept us in cold drinks,it was very hot .My body gave out alittle to early but really enjoyed everyone while I was there. Thanks Tony for the pics ,I took a few and will send them to you for posting. I'm not going back today so I hope you all have a safe and trouble free trip home. Terry
  13. I went to Carlisle today mostly to register the Monte and shop the flea. The flea had many vacant spaces but alot of the small vendors will come this evening and in the morning.I arrived early about 7:00 AM,registered first,I had my truck but they allowed me to tape the gate pass on the window so I could remove it for the Monte,I thought that was fair. I did see Jim's Monte thats on display in Bldg "T" and it is very nice and as nice as the GM 71ss thats there also. There was only 1 monte at our spot and I think it was Dave C's gold monte also very nice too.I didn't see any one at Jim's or Dave's monte,I guess they were shopping . Our spot is in gate #3 and straight back to the end of the show field kinda close to the spotty potty's,my pass says G202 area. The weather looks real nice for tomorrow and and most of sunday ,maybe a shower late Sun. Hope you all have a safe trip and trouble free and hope to see ya tomorrow Terry
  14. I'm planning on leaving around 6am tomorrow. Its about 1 1/2 hr journey for me. Driving the truck Fri looking for parts and to register and will return early Sat with the Monte.Hope to see some of you guys tomorrow . Terry
  15. Terry Reynolds 1970 Misty Torquoise /black vinyl Top Sat only for the show field, I Plan on Reg on Fri. Will be there on Fri with the truck for parts 1 person
  16. Congrads Davey,I bet that was a wild ride.Sounds like the wife enjoys it as much and thats great. I remember some yrs ago I had a 70 Chevelle SS mildy built and I run 13.1 something 106 Mph and I believe that I become dizzy and nose bleed ,that was fast to me. You have a great looking chevelle (and Monte)and a quick one, good job on both Terry
  17. I used Dot 3 syntheic for now.I will be changing the front to rear line and the lines to the cylinders and rear cylinders sometime later.I replaced all the front lines when i did the booster and MC.There was alot of rusty fluid coming from the remainding lines when I was bleeding them.I will however use silicone when I get the new parts on.I have it but didn't want to waste it on this system yet.I did my other monte the same way. Terry
  18. I finally got back on the Monte to do the bleeding today. All went well and I did start from the right rear and worked forward like always and not by the vac pump manual :-).The pump did work fine and it really pulls the fluid thru quickly .It is a little messy because if you don't hold your finger over the hose that you remove from the bleeder it will drip on the floor and on you.But overall it did work good and fast pulling. You really need to keep an eye on the resovoir more because you can empty the small one in the rear of the master cyl quickly with the volumn of the hose.Ask me how I know :-). Terry
  19. I'm allowing it to gravity feed this morning but need to visit the kids today so I'll try bleeding the system tomorrow. The vacumn bleeder is kind of alkward to use , the hoses are so stiff it makes it hard to keep the fitting on the bleeder and also keeping the cup sitting up.The manual says to pump it about 8-10 times and then open the bleeder and do this until the air is gone.It also says about the air around the threads and that they will be very small bubbles and not as large as the air coming from the lines and if you want you may put grease on them to stop the air. I looked at the solo bleeders from Jegs and would like to try a set ,any idea what size they are, front and rear ?I can call them and get the size tomorrow. Another thing is about the porportion valve on a 70 the one that has the button on the back thats up near the MC,Do you need to depress it while bleeding? Thanks all, will update the progress tomorrow :-). Royce, where did you get your bleeding tool and about how much are they ? I may invest in one of those.
  20. I replaced the MC,Booster, Porportion valve and front lines in the latest Monte today.I bench bleed the MC before mounting it.I bought a hand held vacumn pump so I can do it without help because I lost my helper (wife) about a yr ago to "C".I was reading the manual about using the pump and it says to start with the CLOSEST wheel to the MC and work away.I have always bleed from the far rear and worked to the MC. Does this sound correct for using a vac pump or could the manual be misprinted ? Its all back together but didn't have time to start bleeding, plan to do that tomorrow.I would like to have pic to show ya but need some help trying to figure things out.I did join photo bucket and car domain so I did get that far. I may ask Tony to help an ole guy out :-). Terry
  21. Mirror is on the way to Ron's .$32.50 + Steves commision He remembered you Steve and the FGMCC.I told him a few more may be coming his way from the club too.He said it would take about 2 wks because of all the bad weather they had and he got alittle behind. Also told him about you and you ride this wk end and how you could'nt keep from looking out the rear view I had the one done on the 1st Monte but the one on my latest one needs it also. Its also a Map Light so I'll need to remove the trim to get the wire out. Terry
  22. I have the mirror boxed and ready to ship,However I must wait until the western population gets out of bed so I may call Rons and let him know its on the way Did anyone notice Steve's view from inside his Monte and the look of his hood from inside ,Its looks great from the drivers seat as well from the outside Terry
  23. I had a feeling Davey would chime in on this one You may take tomorrow off Tim Terry
