    I never thought about it before, but I just looked up the info on the procharger. With an intercooler I could safely run 10 - 12 pounds of boost on 93 octane......hmmmmmmmmm......

    I have factory gauges with the addition of auto meter sport comp oil press and electric water temp gauges. If I only had one gauge I would want a mechanical. I know what you mean about cutting the huge hole though.

    I took my Monte and my Girl took her Pro Street Ventura to a car show at Crab Meadow Beach. Out of 251 cars, my Girl got a trophy for second place. She was thrilled.......Good Times!

    So now I have a Ford rear and transmission. Now if I can figure out how to install those torino tail lights.

    It will work just fine. That is the setup I had in the original "Mom's Car" back in the early eighties. It will work just fine as that was what I had on the original "Mom's Car" back in the early eighties.

    Well, I will be ready for the next track day. I pulled the trigger and ordered a new moser 9" Ford rear with a wavetrac, 35 spline axles and 1/2" studs. I think that will be strong enough. Now I won't be as afraid of breaking an axle when I launch it.

    I have 295/55-15's on a 8" wheel with a 5" back space. My lips were trimmed for an earlier tire. I have plenty of clearance.

    Congrats on the "Freshening Up" of your mill! I feel your pain on the just too much HP thing. We all love to make the cars just a little bit faster but soon realize that now it's time to upgrade the weaker links. Gotta love the Ford 9". Continued success on your endeavors and be safe.

    That's Vinny Alessi's car. Him and his brother owned Select Transmissions. They owned that Catalina lightweight that they raced. I think it was called "The Rat in the Cat". I met Vinny some 35 years ago when I bought some parts from him. I saw the Monte. That car is what made me get my original Monte. His Monte was for sale maybe like 10 years ago.

    I have 295/55-15 Mt ET Streets on a wheel Vintique 8" with a 5" BS. I had trimmed the outer lip and molding for a prior tire but there is no clearance issues at all.

    That is a heat shield. I had one on my car that hid the nitrous plate under it.
