  1. If you have a four channel radio then it should have a balance function(left to right) and a fader function(front to rear) already incorporated in the head unit. You should not have to ground any speaker wires to the body, but ground them to the ground wires from the unit itself. Each speaker should have two wires coming from the head unit. You say there are a few ground wires correct? One of those should be thicker than the others. The thicker one should go to the body to ground the head unit and the other two you can use for the left and right speaker channels.
  2. So you have 4 single speaker wires and 4 ground wires right? You should be able to just extend two wires from the harness to your new 6x9 and you will be fine. That way you will still have your side to side balance in the rear. One colored wire and one ground wire for each speaker. Find the wire that's for the speaker you are adding whether it's lr or rr and run extension wires accordingly.
  3. Thanks Larry!!! I was about to buy one for the console conversion I'm doing and the replacement column that I converted to floorshift came with a switch that looked the same as the one I was about to buy. Thanks again!!!!
  4. Are they the same for column shift and console shift?
  5. Hey Rob when Prayers goes up Blessings come down. I am so happy for you that you have recieved one of those Blessings to be able to be released into the care of Patsy and in the comfort of your own home. Continue on your road to a full recovery and get all the proper rest and also exercise to get you back up and running. Once again Congrats to you for hanging in there through all that's been thrown at you. Stay strong!!.... Rodney
  6. I love the Flowmasters I got from you Andreas!!!
  7. Yeah my Monte only has 61,400 actual miles on it. I can't wait to get her done and get behind the wheel.
  8. No I haven't touched the front suspension because everything is super tight. The only reason I'm changing the rear is because I'm installing a 12 bolt posi with a factory swaybar.
  9. Got them back today and installed the Polyurethane Bushings: Used a 12 ton press and the bushings went right in!!
  10. Hey man you keep on doing the damn thang!!! Your car is coming along real well
  11. Hang in there Rob. The best is yet to come. I know it's hard to sit idled after doing everything for yourself, but hang in there and let those who are there to help you do their jobs. Keep us posted whenever YOU feel like it. Take it easy Man!!
  12. Thanks Steve!! Coming from the Monteman himself, that means a lot!!

  15. Got some polyurethane bushings in the mail today. Found them through Search all of Craigslist. They were in Ponoma, California. Got them for $45 shipped. Oh and I went to Advance and used one of their presses and vice and got the old bushings out. One of my friends that is the GM sent the arms out to be powdercoated for me at the remarkable price of FREE!!! through a commercial account . You know something? God is good!! I may be out of work but I still can count my Blessings, I still can look forward to a new day, I can't complain because I know there is someone that's worst off than I am. I just want to take the time out to say Thank You to all of you because you all help me everyday that I log onto our site in one way or the other. May I also add, God Bless to everyone as well... Rodney
  16. I'm sort of at a standstill Tony. I'm still looking for work. If I See something for 10 to 50 dollars I try to buy it just so I will have it when I need it.
  17. Thanks Bob. Yes that's the panel I got from you!! Thanks
  18. Thanks for the complement MGD. I wish I could take the male ends off and get new ones but that would involve taking stitchings out and getting them resewned. Some of the male ends are kinda bad but they will have to work for now.
  19. Of the tailpiece replacement. Amazing how that could be done!! BEFORE AFTER
