  1. Did Monte Carlos come with out power steering my Monte has the quick ratio gear box but i don't have the pump hooked up yet because i need some brackets i haven't driven it no more then 10 miles just testing and tuning the carb for now but it doesn't see to bad with out power steering

  5. finger on the #1 spark plug hole blew my finger off so it on the compression stroke
  6. Do the old 2 person bleeding one person holds the pedal while you open the bleeder then close it and then the other person pumps it up and holds it again while do the other side and repeat till you get a pedal

    Timing

    I got back to work today on my truck i dropped the distributor in it at 10* before top dead center a tried to start her up and at first it tried but all i get is popping and some flames out the headers and carb i tried turning the dizzy while i cranked it and nothing im not 180 off im on the compression stroke what gives details chevy 350 old school points has good spark 268h cam installed at 2* retarded for top end(CAM HAS 4*advanced built in) has a old school cast iron hi rise intake headers a 750 q jet off a buick 350
  8. Rear ends are pretty simple just pull the cover off take out the diff pin bolt remove pin push the axles in with the pin out and remove the c clips on the ends of the axles in the diff then slide the axles out and inspect every thing
  9. 225/70s should do the trick 205/60 r15s are 24.7" tall 225/70 r15s are 25.7" tall that one more inch 185/75 R15 are 25.9" tall that would give you just over a inch or 195/70 R15s are 25.7" tall
  10. you should have no problem doing spring i think theirs a how to post on here,or go the next size up tire on the front whats on it now?
  11. you might have to go up in tire size to gain a inch or so or swap some stock coil springs in the front how was it lowered? Drop spindles or just shorter springs?
  12. i also have the Hooker comp Headers but my Monte is a small block but i have tons of room you no doubt need to raise the front of you Monte,Has your oil pan hit the ground yet?

  14. Ok im buying a new 3 core 1986 k5 blazer radiator of a bud of mine for 50 i measured it out its a quarter a inch taller but looks the same so it should work and its a aluminum core

  18. Should i go with a 2500 CFM 16inch fan no shroud (all ready have it) or Dual 10inch fans no shroud 1800 CFM Rating(each fan)3600 total Im using a crappy 2 core radiator so its only about 21inches across im running a 160 thermostat and the fans turn on at 180'F and shuts off at 170'F
  19. Ya i know i need a top i have like 5 of the 4 hole tops i might just modify one to get by for now and dam your monte looks good under the hood

Is there a difference between 1970 chevelle 2 core radiator and a 1970 Monte Carlo 2 core?The 2 core im using is my chevelles old small block radiator if i put in in the Monte ware its supposed to in the small slots on the top of the support the 3 core top covers the cap on the radiator,the 2 core isn't as wide as the 3core
  21. my Monte is a ac car it came with a 3 core well long short the radiator is shot i tried putting a 2 core i have laying around it just looks 2 small and i don't have a 2 core top to hold it in what do you Guys think
  22. Go with something like the 268H or XE268 comp cams not to mild and not to wild well the xe is a bit more wild but there both street able cams
  23. I just saw it in my new summit catalog Its one of the new items i bought a single trunk seal it fits nice and seals nice so im happy
  24. Summit has a cheap kit dont know if it any good but its cheap
