Mike looks good so far Dropped motor off earlier tonight so my engine guy can pull it a part and get lifters out without screwing up lifter bores.Hoping nothing got beat up as the pieces went into the pan.So a simple cam swap and new lifters could be all thats needed.Shooting to be ready for the 7th of Sept.Great having you pit with us and hang out was definitely a good time.Looking forward too more
so far looks promising wont know till we open it up and make sure no damage is done down below.Cam could be fixed if needed from what I can see.Doesnt appear that any metal went through motor.... will get the pan off too look at the bottom end and go from there.Hopefully just needs a fresh set of lifters and new cam
The easiest way is too bring the motor to TDC so its ready to FIRE number 1 BOTH Valves will be closed since its firing that cylinder, if you bring it too TDC after it firing then the valves are open.
Now rotate the Balancer 90* and do number 8 cylinder and repeat process following firing order that way each cylinders valves are closed ...Now if you want to do it with the TDC #1 and TDC#6 there is certain valves you can do and I can get you the valve numbers its on a paper in my garage
I agree with mike why didnt the Machine shop find the crack when they checked the block... thats one of the first things you do is hot tank block then check it for cracks.I hope the machine shop is going to help you out on this.Sorry to hear
I like the more air your getting lmaooooo Interesting to see how both cars react.. Your obviously making more HP and it shows.Plus my 4link too your stock suspension.you can right click and open in new tab for bigger pics...I also chained my a-arms to limit the travel on mine trying to get it react quicker
Nice to meet you and say Hi yesterday at the track Your Car is absolutely Beautiful.... and it runs damn good.... Very impressive to say the least.Glad you went some rounds..... cya at the next race in 2 weeks
Sound sux but what do you expect from a driod phone.. my son mounted it too the windshield,I broke a rocker stud at the 2-3 shift as soon as it went into High gear I could here the motor fluddering and lifted and shut it off to end of track... Broke a ex stud fixed it and then while we were in staging for our second qualifing run a fellow racer crashed and lost his life so racing was called. Our racing associating could of had our entries held for next race but we as a group voted to donate it too his family
Glad to be a part of a good series.. we had 70+ racers at $50 pop so its not much but hope it helps his family in some way God Bless Rich Moore
