ejw71 Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Found out the hard way that that BB u-joints are larger than SB u-joints. Suspect the larger ones are common to 402s & 454s. Yea, had a drive shaft out of a 402 and didn't think anything about it until installing it in a 350 car. Live and learn about all the various differences between SB & BB 1st Gens. Chris Posted June 4, 2006 Share Posted June 4, 2006 Spicer and others make u-joints that specifically allow for these situations. Check their catalogs and you should be able to determine which will work for your application. I've used them before when changing to larger rear axles in pickup's.
