cny first gen 71
I'm having a problem with #1 plug fouling, I think it valve seals. I have new heads for it but I havent been able to put them on yet. Should I run a hotter set of plugs in it. Its a 350 pretty much stock, it takes about 3000 miles to foul. It was a 2 barrel I added a alum manifold and q-jet a couple years ago. I have always used autolite plugs in it (better luck in the past than ac) I'll hopefully get around to putting heads and new cam next winter. Thanks in advance, Steve
Mike 57
I might try a hotter one in #1 for now. What plug number are you running right now? Autolite is my plug of choice also.

Mike 57
26 is the hottest plug with a projected tip. 687 is a bit hotter without the projected tip.
420ponies
Steve, you may need to put a non -fouler on that plug.it looks like the bottom casing of a spark plug. just threads on and moves the plug away from the piston area. still gets spark to it. I used those to limp home from the track one night.
