Guest Posted May 5, 2002 Share Posted May 5, 2002 never done it personally, but if you look closely you see that the shroud is maybe in 2 pieces, and on the left n right centre are staples thru the plastic, leastways thats how it looks to me. but i know what you mean, i was trying to get to the harmonic balancer, and realised it was not 1 man job to take out and relocate fan unit n shroud etc, tho someone told me to replace fan bolts with studs n nuts, good idea methinks, but i didnt complete the job anywayz, another day jon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Share Posted May 6, 2002 Looking at it again I can see three ways of getting the shroud off (Sawsall method not included): 1. Pull radiator after removing shroud and sitting it over the fan. 2. Remove fan 3. Remove staples holding shroud together. I think I like option 1 or 2 for right now.
