JOHNR Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 Hi Guys I have a problem finding a good rebuild shop that sells the 700r4 and possibly a 1996 jeep trans(4.0 automatic). I found two sites that do them with upgraded valve bodies torrington bearrings ect. What I need to know is anyone familiar with monster transmissions and the other shop I cant remember the name just now but they clain to build them heavy duty as well. Basically they say they can take 500 to 700 HP no problem for the 700R4. As far as the jeep goes I just need one that has upgrades to prolong the life so the clutch packs dont slip when it gets old or has a lot of miles. Anyone have any info for me??? monte70car Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 try wwww.jasperengine.com they carry trans as well. i believe most of their trans are stock builted. as for a 700r4 u might want to try www.700r4.com they have three different levels for trans. I know from asking around here ,you can get a 700r4 rebuilt for roughly 1/2 of what it would cost to purchase a new one.. especially if you are looking for a 'stock' rebuild.
