Th400 drive shaft yoke

Recommended Posts

I scored a 400 trans friday off a 68 impala cool Well now I have a few questions...

1) Tranny cooler lines/cooler--

oem or aftermarker?

also who, where and how much?

2) Will the same drive shaft I currently have fit Or will i have to get it cut? My car orginally had a 350/350 combo...

3)also, is the yoke different for a 400? I was trying to take the u-joints out and just the front slip yoke of the driveshaft but i Couldnt get it out...I didnt buy the drive shaft cuz itwould be an extra $35 bucks..Or should I jusy go back and attempt to cut the drive shaft with a hacksaw or just shell out the money for a new yoke if available somewhere? thanks guys

1).....you can probably still use your oem lines and stuff if you want that would be up too you

2.)....... It will have to be cut when switching to the TH400

3)..... Yes the yoke is different from a TH350 to a TH400.I would just buy a yoke and I believe it will need an inch taken out of it
