JP_AstroMan
Hey folks. I have a '72 with a swapped 454 that has now been pulled and added TrickFlow heads and needed tall valve covers. I am fairly certain the stock brake booster will be a problem when I reinstall this engine. I am wondering if anyone can confirm it will be a problem and also if anyone knows of a booster swap that would make space. I love making space anyhow, so rather than cutting the valve cover I'd rather invest the money into a shiny new smaller booster. Let me know if anyone has any insight. Thanks so much. MC1of80
I used a dual diaphragm 9" booster that I had "in stock" when I put "Big Red" together many years ago. 3
Montemedic
From reading other online forums, the Chevy Astro or GMC Sierra mini van brake booster fits with the tall valve covers. It’s supposedly a bolt in replacement. 1
