allchevy
what has everybody used to replace the gasket between the tail light extension and rear quarter? I took mine apart so long ago that I don't even remember if it had any and if it did where it's at now. What material how thick or if it's even needed. monte70car
They used to make gasket material where you could make your own gaskets haven't seen it in a while. You might want to check with leo to see if he has any. I did not put any on my .
7tonemonte
On my taillight and front extentions I used a 2 sided tape thats used to put body side moldings on. I dont remember anything on mine when I took them off, the butyl tape wrapped around the studs to hold them on worked fine for the water into the trunk issue, I just didnt want any metal to metal contact on mine. kc8oye
we've never used anything at leo's in there and it's never been an issue. if the nuts are pulled tight there should be no issue with rubbing between the body and the extensions.
