Its Just Me
I'm going to install an eaton tru-track differential/posi in the SS this weekend... Because this set up uses helical gears vs a clutch pack, I assume I don't need to use the GM Limited Slip gear oil additive. Am I correct in this assumption? Do I need to use any other type of special additive for this differential? Thanks Scott
72MC
If all else fails,... call the tech line for Eaton and ask them. They want mind. - Dave
jim's 70
I would think not, but I'm sure it will say what oil to use in the paperwork that comes with it, or call the tech line...no sense taking a chance
gprimm
DO NOT use a friction modifier. Your paperwork should say that. A friend who worked for Eaton as a national sales rep said that putting in an additive is like putting in sand.
