Eaton Tru-Trac Install

Its Just Me

Recommended Posts

I'm going to install an eaton tru-track differential/posi in the SS this weekend...

Because this set up uses helical gears vs a clutch pack, I assume I don't need to use the GM Limited Slip gear oil additive. Am I correct in this assumption? Do I need to use any other type of special additive for this differential?

Thanks

Scott

I would think not, but I'm sure it will say what oil to use in the paperwork that comes with it, or call the tech line...no sense taking a chance

DO NOT use a friction modifier. Your paperwork should say that. A friend who worked for Eaton as a national sales rep said that putting in an additive is like putting in sand.
