Charger3488
I HAVE A dual intake setup with two 500cfm carbs for a big block 502 with a custom cam. will this setup kill my low end torque and high end horsepower? i was told that to much air will kill some of the torque. its 1000cfm's
Sam (Bones)
depends on the cam
Mike 57
Sam is correct. But it also depends on the type of carb and linkage setup. I would bet that they are an AFB style carb with air valve secondaries, so it will pull what it needs at wide open throttle. A good single 4 barrel will probably make more power but the two fours look cool! My single four is close to 1000 cfm and has no trouble making torque. 72 LS5
I vote for the "Dare To Be Different" and go with 2 4s if you got 'em. They are small enough that it just might work nicely. It's over-the-top on an over-the-top motor. Sure, a single 4 will run better but what's sexier?
