Took the Monte to the Yorkville Exotic and Classic car show which is held on Fathers Day Had a blast, so many classic and exotic cars Finally completed my radio install

Finally finished working on gauge cluster lights, they look sooo much brighter now. The only issue I have now is with the cluster lens its so dull, gonna try to buff it out or just buy a new one Also changed up the square box subwoofer with this cylindrical looking one which will look better once the carpet and amps are set.

After looking closer at some of my wires under the dash as was replacing the clock I noticed some of the wires were corroded and casing was cracked.

A bit more progress to show Still waiting on the dash pad to arrive so I can finalize the top speakers and might also put in some tweeters

Not sure who made the dash pad but I'm not happy with it and will be looking over Boxing Day to purchase a new one. Not too familiar with OER, I mostly deal with OPGi and recently The Parts Place.

A bit more work to show progress Also cleaned up behind the dash since it was hanging Over 40 years of dust and crap which needs to be cleaned up Not sure how my dash even lit up, a few of the wires melted so I spliced them and re-taped them .... something to think about in the future guys Not happy with my dash pad even if it is in so so mint condition, problem is its an aftermarket one and just doesn't sit snug on the dash as it should. Time to search Kijiji and craigslist for an SS model one in black.

Update; Gave up on the clock and ordered a new one, came in yesterday and its installed The drivers kick panel is in and it looks nice No kicking or scraping against it and the hand brake is operational

How is the drivers side? Does your emergency brake work?

Dash apart Decided to replace all the bulbs with LED ones attempting to update the clock with the quartz conversion kit Problem is im stuck.... the dials don't fit on posts OPGi either sent me the wrong kit or I screwed up somewhere

So I finally started to install my radio and replace thee clock with the kit I got from OPGI I followed all the written instructions to a T but its not going back together I didn't get the DVD that it says in the kit to watch before assembly Do any of you guys have the DVD or a link to a video which I cant find anywhere My speakers and kick panels are all done just need this damn clock.... I should of got the completed clock

Well its Dec and still haven't installed the radio So I finally started on it last week Getting the radio deck to fit in exactly took about 2 hours but its snug like a bug now Was running new wires to the back and under the rear seats an was horrified with all the crap I found under the seat... time for a major clean up and while I'm doing that might as well replace the smelly/brittle carpet. More to come

Yes converted to 134A Murphy where did you get the expansion valve from? Will give it another try this weekend.

Took my Monte to a shop to check out the AC Done a pressure test and it held good for 30 min Pumped R134 into system After running car the air was mild colder Low side showed 60 It just would not blow ice cold at all Are we missing something?
