  1. finally working in the garage again. Felt like a photo op
  2. Working on the front end. Found the lower control arm split when pressing in the Howe tall ball joint on the pass side.
  3. I haven't worked on this much lately. Got the frame back from the powder coater it turned out great.
  4. Do you remember what backspacing on the fronts. Also what size tires. Do they rub the swaybar? I'm going to run 18s and want the widest fronts that will fit without rubbing too much.
  5. What size wheels and tires or on the red monte. It looks great
  6. the install wasn't too bad. The cross member has about 4 inches of adjustment. I have a 700 r4 now and left room for a 4l80 or T56 in the future. The only thing that was different is the extra body mount install. Basically you weld a plate with a nutzert to the floor cross brace and a new bushing goes there. The monte floor must be slightly different because the bushing didn't sit level and the bracket was 1/4 inch lower than it was supposed to be on the frame side. I put the bushing on the belt sander and took about an 1/8 off to make the bushing square. I put the frame on screw jack and used a lazer level to measure all the frame heights. The kit comes with chevelle measurements. My car had been hit in the drivers front at some time so I wanted to ensure it was stI'll square. Although a 4 foot level would probably be all you really need. I used a large ratchet strap to preload the frame rails 1/2 inch and tacked in a brace. The early kits installed where expanding in the center too much probably from welding too fast. Once everything was fitted and tacked I started welding. From the center out welding opposite from the previous welds about an inch each time. Then let those welds cool 20 minutes. It took 2 full days but when I removed the brace the frame was perfect. If anyone has any questions about this kit installation a can give some other tips I figured out along the way. My email is matthewrlee81@gmail.com feel free to email me.
  7. Almost done. I juse need to install the new cross member mount brackets and modify the cross member.
  8. Working on the install. I'm taking pics and keeping notes on a few changes needed to fit our Montes
  9. I received my frame fx kit today. Hopefully I can start the install this weekend!
  10. I order the chevelle kit but haven't received it yet. I will post some pics when I get it and I stall it hopefully soon.
  11. Call mark at SC&C. He was great to deal with. He talked to me on the phone for almost an hour about what was right for me. He wrote the book "how to make your muscle car handle". It was a great read. I went with his tall ball joints and spc adjustable upper arms. I can't wait to install them this fall when it cools off here.
  12. Looks good. What seats are those and which dash insert is that?
  13. Which tko do you have? How do you like it? I am leaning more toward the tko now over the t 56 now. I currently have a 700r4 but am not really happy with its performance, but i still want overdrive. I thik a manual would make the car feel alot more fun to drive.
  14. im thinking of adding a T 56 to the monte. anyone have one?
