  1. Steven: I have a set of buckets and a horseshoe shifter that I'd be willing to part with. I will PM you the details.
  2. Robert: I'm going to PM you with some items I'm looking for that you may have.
  3. Just finished booking my room. Can't wait. Joe you can relax now🤣😜
  4. Just got back home. Safe and sound. I just want to take a bit of bandwidth to say how much of a good... make that great time my son and I had. Never having attended any meet before this was an awesome experience. We got to meet a number of members that I see posting on the forums all the time. Truly, a great group. I want to say thank you to C.K. for all his hard work organizing the meet. Great Job! For those that are in my shoes and have never attended a meet before I recommend you get out to one. The camaraderie of the members, makes you feel right at home with many going out of their way to ensure you are included as part of this one big family. I didn't get a chance to bring my car but that didn't matter, my son and I still took part in the group events (dinner, door prizes, etc.) and hung out with the gang in the "Monte Carlo Coral" at the meet. I must say the FGMCC group seemed liked that biggest organized group of cars at the meet. I look forward to attending more of these events. I will finish by quoting Steve Lavoie's (cny first gen 71) quote he has in his messages... There is no such thing as strangers, only friends we have yet to meet.
  5. Glad you got it all sorted out. Sounded like quite the ordeal. I'm just installing a Lares pump on mine and realizing that the return pipe on the Lares sits very close to the Steering shaft/rag joint. When I compared the old pump (? brand) to the new Lares, the old pump's, return pipe bends to the right side of the engine bay away from the steering shaft. Did you notice this on your setup or does the pipe on your pump bend towards the rag joint?
  6. You may get more than a year with the rubber coating on the driveway before it needs to be redone.
  7. New Occupation - Jack and Master of all trades😁
  8. You need to get rid of "Retired" in your Occupation
  9. Heard the National Guard deployed in Buffalo. Up to 6 feet of snow expected. Glad I am on the other side of the lake effect. To all affected, Be Safe, Stay Warm. 🥶⛷️🏂❄️☃️
  10. With myself, my wife and 3 kids at home, I'm lucky if I can find a dish, cup or cutlery by the end of the day that are clean. Ours runs every night. Hopefully I don't find the kitchen flooded one day...🤯
  11. Good to hear you are starting your recovery. Wishing you all the best.
  12. All the best Joe. Get well soon my friend.
  13. Joe the car looks beautiful and sounds nasty. Hope you're feeling better. Can't wait to see it "Live" next time I'm down. Stay healthy, stay safe.
  14. Joe: I am sure you alleviated a lot of stress for him and his wife. With finances being tight I'm sure the possibility of having to scrap the car must have weighed heavily on both of them. With all the BS going on in this world it's really good to hear there are so many FGMCC members that are good Samaritans and stepping up when needed.
  15. James I just sent you my email address. Sorry for the hassle. Also, Thanks Joe for offering to help.
  16. If you have time, a pic would be great.
  17. James (cbolt): Thanks for sharing your experience. Besides being a bit thicker did you find it fit well in the sbc core support?
  18. Looking to put a Champion 4-core radiator in my 70 Monte. Anybody have experience with these rads? I can't seem to find any bad feedback about them. Any issues with the fit that I should be aware of? It is made for the 70 Monte but I don't want to get it home to find out I need to cut and weld to make it fit correctly. Any guidance always appreciated. Here is the link for the Rad I'm looking at: https://www.championradiators.com/product/MC161 If there is a better choice for roughly the same cost, feel free to suggest.
  19. Joe: The car looks a lot different from when I saw it a few weeks back. You've made a lot of progress and looks beautiful. Sometimes it may look like your not moving forward and it takes another eye to see the progress. Great work and I'll echo Willie's comment about wishing I had the ability to do what you do. Heck I'll take a quarter of your ability and be happy.
  20. Ed: Any chance you have a link to the Amazon site? I could not seem to find them. Thanks.
  21. Learned a lot from the information provided so definitely a help.
  22. One last dumb question...Are there other years/models that will fit the first gen without modifying?
  23. Sorry, I misunderstood from your earlier post. I thought there was a passenger side available in Canada for the Monte Carlo.
