  15. My 70 came factory with a bop rear and 278 gears. I built it up for my small block with a new posi and ring and pinion but didnt upgrade the axles. I snapped one like a pretzel rod. Supposed to be a really good rear. I went with a ford 9 instead.
  16. Love my prosystems carb. 950hp that flows 850 for my small block. Not a hicup or hesitation. Money well spent. Would never buy an off the shelf carb ever again.
  17. If you've got the scratch you should go aftermarket. My Dart SHP block was around $1500. Sounds like alot but if you add up everything you have to do to the 40+ yr old block your not gonna be too far away from the cost of the SHP. And you'll have plenty of room to grow. Plus you could stroke it to a big cube small block with ease. Again, it all comes down to your budget.

  19. With 411s and the 26 tire I wast trapping at 64-6500 and the taller 28 was a lil less at about 62-6300. I shift around 6500. thats where I need ti be. Car is deadly consistant. Put some more gear in blue and a lil more convertor and youll be needing a roll bar for sure.
  20. Awesome!! Enjoy your bragging rights and that cold brew Mikey!! Same thing happened to me. I was running a shorter 26 in m/t and rippin 11.70s and switched with mike neptunes 28in m/t and bam 11.30s. And since he could use more gear my shorter tire helped him as well. I needed more side wall and man did i crinkle it!!! I run a 295/55/15 now at 28in and its just what i needed. Lots of luck getting faster!!!!

  23. I had those. Used to take me what seemed like an hour to add oil. I took a drill bit i think it was 3/8 and bored a hole thru the baffle. If you do that make sure you get all the metal out! I eventually ran out of patience and tossed them.
