  1. yes it was a lot of work..and that darm snow ball jus keeps on rolling..but I learned a new skill..saved some money and got a new roof out the deal..thats a win win and I know its done right..now lets jus hope when I get the car back together..it dosent fly off while im drivin down the road!!!!lol
  2. i say leave it all off..it looks good like it is. i removes all my trim also..filled all the holes..and im currently installing new side marker lights off a 72 nova..made to mount flush and still have a little chrome trime on em...i think leaving the wheel well trim on looks funny because it dosent come all the way down to the bottom of the car like the chevelle trim does but thats jus my opinion.. i too want the chrome trim on the wheel wells...but for now i will leave it off till I come up with some trim that goes all the way down...but its your car do with it what you like..but by any means..DONT SELL IT AND GET A CHEVELLE!!!!have fun and show pics..welcome to the club!!!
  3. i had the same set of Irocs on mine fore a while..I like em...but yeah..lower the front and it would look better...

  5. glad your fixing it the right way.. i not to long ago jus finished the same thing..replaced the whole roof...see if youi can find a donor car and get a monte roof..sand it down to bare metal and stick it on. Ill post some pics for encoragement..yours is no where near as bad as mine was..good luck wit the repair..and keep the pics comming!!! and this is how she sits now..I learned how to weld and got it done good luck wit cha project....pm me if ya got any questions!!
  6. hummmm thats interesting info Mo' theres something to think about and as said before they really arent that expensive....i might jut take them to a suspention shop and have em looked at while their out..that wouldnt hurt!

Ahhh ok thanks for that reply...they actually look pretty good after I cleaned em up....I think I can reuse em..ball joint holes look good...still round....I think imma give em both a new coat of paint and call it a day since I got other parts that need replaceing...ill spend that moneyon other stuff
  8. how do you know if you need to replace your spindles..since I have all that takin apart..i was lookin at em but not sure what im lookin for as far as wear goes? what should I look for!!

  11. i agree Monteman..and I like to ride around wit the side lights on when the sun is goin down...lol so now its on to the rear lights..oh joy!!!!
  12. yeah their turnin out pretty good...but the challenge will be the rear ones since i cant jus lay the fender on the table to work on em...

  15. so I know this has been brought up before so here goes again..Ive finally found some side marker lights to replace the stock ones since I dont wanna use the chrome trim...these are off a 71 nova and i dont have to do any wireing mods..the light hook up in the same!!! cool..this has jus begun so here are some teaser pics!! i still have some trimming to do before i weld it in and I still have to find the rear red lights off another nova!! more pics to come!!!

  17. yeah the 15 x 8s will fit on the front..I have those all the way around on mine..check out my sig pic..not sure what tire size I have on there..but they dont rub at all!!!

    my friend has that harbour freight welder..he likes it..has had it(the older version) for 4 years with no problems..besides the lack of heat settings...its good to learn on...give it a try.

  24. no you can not do them 1 at a time..you will have to take them all aloose to even remove one..I belive you can do one side at a time but from what Ive heard you have to lift the body off the frame a lil bit to get em all out..Im sure others will chime in..i am contemplating this also!!!
